Hell's Gate National Park
Background Information
The Great Rift Valley is the world’s largest fault, stretching almost the entire length of East Africa, from Jordan to Mozambique. Along its floor within Kenya lie numerous volcanoes and lakes, some of them alkaline due to the lack of an outlet. These soda lakes attract flamingoes, which feed on the algae and present a spectacular scene when massed together. Vistas of the rift and the valley below are spectacular and can be seen whilst driving through central and northern Kenya on the way to various destinations. On arrival, you will proceed for morning Tour of Hells Gate National Park. It is famous for natural hot geysers, eagle & vulture breeding grounds, rugged rocks & gorges. The game to be viewed here includes buffaloes, giraffes, elands, coke hartebeests, lions leopards & cheetahs.
